Home Economics is a class where you learn different techniques on how to cook certain dishes, you will also learn hacks and the health and safety of it.
Nutrients are what benefits you get from the foods that you eat or consume. These nutrients are Carbohydrates, Protein, Fats, Vitamins, Minerals such as Iron, Sodium, Calcium and Potassium.

Wear proper gear such as tying your shoelaces, wearing an apron
Listen to instructions
Be careful and mindful of hot things
Hold knife downwards and hold it on the handle
Slippery foods need fixing when there's a spillage

Keeping food safe, this concludes preventing food getting contaminated.
