W.A.L.T create a blog post about Duatholon

This term we did duatholon is a race using our wheels and running too,

I used scooter because that is the only wheels that I have and I can used,

we raced on the high school's court we have to do 2 laps and after that we put back our wheels to where it belongs and run on the field 2 laps it so frustrating.

then I almost give up but I keep going until I reached the end here's my photo, I look haggard on the photo because u need to be resilient so u can reached your goals and achieve it.

trip to Spencer Park

Success Criteria

• I use an opening statement that explains the subject of the report.

• The opening statement is followed by sentences that describe the event; what you saw, what you did, how you felt, what you learnt.
• Each paragraph focuses on a different aspect of the topic; travelling, the beach, the lagoon walk, playground.

“THE TRIP TO SPENCER PARK”

It was March, Friday the 10th, Ako Ngatahi went to Spencer Park to have fun learning and exploring outdoors it’s like EOTC week , we’re so excited to go to Spencer Park, we ride a bus and I’m sitting with Jolly-Rose and we’re looking outside the window, we see some constructions, building and some houses while waiting.

We need to go to our group first, Jolly-Rose and I got the 3rd letter E group. First we went to the playground to go play and we went to the red string tower, secondly we went to the lagoon to do some exercise while we wait to explore , we saw spiderwebs all over the place and while we waiting a horse rider walk past us and say “hello” and we learnt about a beautiful white bird on the lagoon called “white ibis”.

We ate our morning tea, we went into the big bushes so we can go to the beach to look for some sea treasure like some sticks and shells to use to make a sculpture. While we’re walking back to the hut we saw some cool big trees (woah!) it was amazing

I only found 8 sea treasures but that’ll work, after that we went back to the hut to ate our lunch because we’re of walking and exploring , our group didn’t finished eating our lunch because it’s time to go back to the school.  Lastly but not least, and some people give us some fruits, but I choose apple and after exploring to the Spencer Park, we’re all ready to go back to the school to have some conversations with the things that we haven’t seen before and to think an idea that we could do to our sea treasures that we found.

W.A.L.T make a Beach Sculpture Art from Spencer Park

This term our class went to Spencer park to have some fun learning, and this blog post is about our sculpture art that we did. Our teachers help us to get some information and ideas that we can do, some of our teachers helped us gluing our sculptures together, and some of our teachers told us that we can swap some things to our classmates and some in our class didn't get some beach treasures (I call them treasures) so they look around the school to find some things that they can use for their sculpture.

My sculpture is called "The Life of the sea flower" I created this sculpture because the one that inspired me is a flower and I added more detail to make it interesting and to make it look flower abstract and it doesn't matter if it is perfect, because it's cool.

 I named it 

 "The Life of the sea flower" 

because the one that inspired me is a flower and added the word life because flower have a life like us and I put sea because the materials is from the sea and seashore.

In AkoNgatahi we had to write a narrative about a video. It was about a boy opening a present that was a dog with three legs. Here is the video of the present. I hope you enjoy my story.

The Present

“THE MOST AWESOME PRESENT IN THE WORLD”

It was Saturday morning, I just finished eating my food then I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and to take a bath. My room was really dark and scary like the in͎side of a haunted house, my mum was holding a box and open the door she told me to open it. I was really confused like my mind is going to blow up, I was really curious to open it, “Here’s the time I open it”. I opened the box and a dog popped out, I was like “Awesome”  I check his feet and became mad to my mum,I threw him on the ground because I thought we wasn’t able to play with me, I remove the box on my way and I continued playing with my

Video games while the dog wants to get my attention by being cute, clumsy, playful, silly and funny.I was forcing myself not to laugh and smile. The dog saw a ball and he wants to get, the dog push the ball to me because he wants me to play catch with him then I realized he just want to play with me because he was bored and alone. I gave him a chance to play with him so I turn off my Xbox generator and the dog and I went outside and I told my mum, “Mum, we’ll be outside”.

Cyber Smarts DLO

PERSONAL INFORMATION

On Thursday we went to High School's auditorium to listen to John Parson. John Parson is an expert on  Cyber safety. John Parson taught us to keep safe online. My Cyber smart DLO explained how to be safe online from strangers. John Parson is funny, He taught us some of his silly jokes. John Parson's taught us an interesting video so we can be safe online and outdoors and at home then he told us that" if we put our personal information online and outdoors we're going to be weak, but if we do the right thing we're going to be powerful".
