What is a "Haiku Poem?"
Haikyu is a traditional Japanese poem that consists of 3 short lines that do not rhyme with each other. The first line of the 3 can only have 5 syllables and the second line has 7 and the last is 5.
This is the Haiku poem that I made about the 4 seasons.
Excellent work, Skyler. I like your Autumn poem best. Try to keep to the structure of 5, 7, 5 syllables (only 3 lines). You can clap out the syllables to work out how many are in each line. Su-rroun-ding the sea is 5, for example. :)
