The Filipino students organised a game for everybody to join in and for other people to know more about our culture the next day was singing the seniors sang OPM (Original Pilipino Music) at the auditorium. After the next day, the official Independence day is where we performed the Traditional Filipino Dances.
June 14, Salu-Salo, it was a day where we also performed but this time with the families of the students, our family. People brought yummy foods that filled our stomachs.
The definition of Salu-Salo is where people gather and share foods that they each brought. It started at 6pm and ended around 8pm.
The performers wore traditional clothings.
The first performance was Tableau, we performed different events that happened in the Philippine History.
The year 8's performed the traditional dance, Carinosa is the Philippine's National Dance, it became the national dance before Tinikling. I was part of Carinosa and Tableau. It was performed by partners.
Subli was then performed by the year 7 and 8's, they used straw hats to dance and they danced it by groups.
The modern dances will be then performed after dinner. There were heaps of foods that we could choose from, typically Filipino dishes and desserts. Filipinos love to fill their guests stomach.
It was time for our group to perform Nekkoya - A kpop song sand by Produce 48 - Majority of Filipinos are fond of Kpop.
