Importance Texture, Flavour and Colour - Home Economics

In our lesson in Home Economics, we discussed the texture, colour and flavour of the dish we created that we have chosen. We also brainstormed the reason for the food to be in that state. I used "Spaghetti Meatballs" as an example. I listed down the characteristics the meatballs had.

I used canvas to brainstorm my ideas.

Why is texture, flavour and colour important to a dish?

Colour is important because grabs the attention of the people, it is more enjoyable when it has a visual appeal. When something is colourful or vibrant we expect it to taste good so the saying of we eat with our eyes is true.

The texture is important because it determines the quality of the food also to know if it's cooked or raw.

Flavour is important because it enhances the taste of the food.
